Instruction: Please read these instructions carefully before proceeding:
- Be sure to fill out/check all the appropriate boxes with the correct information, especially those that are marked as required with an astrisk (*). If you fail to complete a required answer, you will receive a red error message at the top of the page. You may enter n/a if a required field does not apply to you.
- All dates should be in the following format: dd/mm/yyyy (day/month/year). There is a date selector you can use next to each date box to simplify entry of dates.
- You are asked to include a Statement of Experience describing your relevant work and personal experience that motivate and prepare you for study at the Mindanao Peacebuilding Institute and a Statement of Intent describing your overall objectives for studying at the Mindanao Peacebuilding Institute. Each statement is limited to 4200 characters, or approximately 600 words (250 words-minimum). You may want to write these statements in a word processer before working on this online form and then cut and paste the statements into this form.
- You will also have the opportunity to upload your Curriculum Vitae/Résumé, a Letter of Recommendation and a scanned copy of your Passport ID Page (international participants only). Please have these ready to upload. You may also email these documents later and have the Letter of Recommendation sent directly to us by the person writing the recommendation.
- Once you are ready to begin, please click the "next" button below. Click on this same button after each page is completed and then click on the "submit" button on the last page. You will be taken to a confirmation page and should receive a confirmation email.
You may also download a fillable PDF form that you can complete, save, and email back to us or use as a reference for completing the online version.

An Early-Bird Discount of 7% will be applied to applicants who will submit their application on or before March 15, 2018.
NOTE: The schedule of Weeks 2 and 3 of the MPI 2018 Annual Peacebuilding Training will be during the time of Ramadan. For those participants who will be fasting during this time, MPI and Mergrande Ocean Resort Management will make special arrangements to accommodate their needs.

English Fluency: All classes at MPI are conducted in English. Please rate your English fluency from 1-5 in the areas of speaking, listening, writing and reading, with 5 being the highest (fluent) and 1 the lowest.

Photo/Video Consent: I consent to MPI’s use of any photographs or video recording that are taken of me while participating in the Annual Peacebuilding Training for use in MPI brochures and program materials that are distributed both in printed form and on the Internet. No payment will be made for use of these photographs.
2. Course Selections
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS VERY CAREFULLY.
Each week, MPI offers four or five courses that run concurrently. Therefore, you will only be able to attend one course per week. Acceptance to the course is on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a possibility that you may not get your first choice, so it is important to indicate your other preferences. For the week you plan to attend, please select 1 for your first choice, 2 for your second choice, 3 for your third choice, 4 for your fourth choice and 5 (where applicable) for your fifth choice. Be sure that your choices are different for each priority level.
Please note that the Conflict Resolution Skills: Mediation and Dialogue course and the Digital Peacebuilding and New Media course in Week 2 have a prerequisite.
FLUENCY IN ENGLISH IS REQUIRED FOR ALL COURSES.

3. Additional Information
The following information must be received before applications are processed.
- Statement of Experience. In 600 words (250 words-minimum), please describe relevant work and personal experience that motivate and prepare you for study at the Mindanao Peacebuilding Institute.
- Statement of Intent: In 600 words (250 words-minimum), please describe your overall objectives for studying at the Mindanao Peacebuilding Institute. Please indicate the ways in which you expect to apply the training, be it in your personal life, in your community or at work.
Please also provide the following:
- Letter of Recommendation
Please upload a Letter of Recommendation from an organization that knows you and your work. The letter should include how long they have known you, in what capacity they have observed your work, what your work entailed, your facility in the English language, and in what ways they think this training will be helpful to you. The recommending organization/person may email the letter directly to us, or you may send it for them. If sent later, please email the Letter of Recommendation to apply@mpiasia.net.

Thank you for submitting your application for MPI's 2018 Annual Peacebuilding Training Program!
If you did not upload the additional requirements, please be sure to send the documents to apply@mpiasia.net to complete your application. The Letter of Recommendation can be emailed directly to us by the person making the recommendation. You will receive an acknowledgement email once we have received all required documents.
After we have reviewed your application and if you are accepted to the program, an Acceptance Letter along with a Billing Statement will be sent to you. Please wait for these documents for further instructions on how to proceed.
