Bombs…Away! is a project that will explore the impact of aerial bombardment against civilians during World War Two and use The Peace Museum’s unique collection to examine how peace campaigns formed in response. This project was supposed to launch at the museum as an exhibition in May 2020, but has been delayed due to the covid-19 pandemic. The museum is excited to be able to finally present this project as a digital exhibition. The project has been possible thanks to funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

The International Peace Bureau is dedicated to the vision of a World Without War. Their current main program centers on Disarmament for Sustainable Development and within this, their focus is mainly on the reallocation of military expenditure.

Formed in 2008, the Sentinel Project is a non-profit organization based in Canada with members in several countries worldwide. Our mission is to prevent mass atrocities (including the crime of genocide) through effective early warning and cooperation with victimized peoples to carry out non-violent prevention initiatives.

TNI's War & Pacification work concerns the nexus between militarisation, security and globalisation. It confronts the structures and interests that underpin a new era of permanent war, makes visible the technologies of control and repression, highlights the impacts on people considered threatening or worthless by the powerful, and advocates alternatives based on peacebuilding, conflict transformation and respect for fundamental human rights.

TNI uses the term ‘pacification’ to describe what is frequently presented as ‘security’. Our research has long shown that the effect of many policies adopted in the name of security is increased social control, allowing the maintenance of social orders that are deeply unequal and unjust. Pacification thus encompasses elite attempts to police the contours of globalisation’s discontents – the unworthy and expendable, the restive and resistant – and close down the progressive spaces occupied by civil society.

World BEYOND War aims "to create awareness of popular support for ending war and to further develop that support." They "work to advance the idea of not just preventing any particular war but abolishing the entire institution."

Wold BEYOND War strives "to replace a culture of war with one of peace in which nonviolent means of conflict resolution take the place of bloodshed."
