25 Khutbah

This compilation of 25 Khutbah was written by 25 ulama (Islamic learned scholars) coming from different regions in Mindanao, and graduates of different disciplines from colleges and universities in the Islamic countries. The khutab (s. khutbah) are written in Arabic, while an English translation is also published as a companion to the Arabic original.

The contents of the 25 Khutbah that have been developed by our khutbah writers will be used as supplementary materials for khuttaab (s. khateeb, one who delivers the khutbah). The main goal of the 25 Khutbah is to communicate to the audience of the Friday congregational prayers the true concepts and values of Islam, while urging them in an appropriate language to move away from joining extremist groups. It is in this context that the development of 25 Modules on the five major themes is seen as an effective way of helping address the issue of violent extremism.
