Conflicting Laws, Overlapping Claims: the politics of indigenous peoples' land rights in Mindanao

This book analyzes whether the indigenous peoples' ownership and effective control over ancestral land and territories can be ensured with the interface of customary laws and state laws on land tenure and resource use within the Philippine legal system, and whether the Indigenous Peoples' Rights Act, a legislation that embodies this plurality, can be fully enforced.
