Sendong Stories is a collection of first-hand accounts of young survivors of Tropical Storm Sendong (international codename Washi) which hit Cagayan de Oro on the night of 16 December 2011 to the wee hours of the following day, leaving thousands homeless, dead, or missing. The memories of that tragic night will forever be etched in the minds of those who survived the fury of the rushing waters and strong winds amidst darkness. Some of these memories are preserved in the pages of these books. Parental guidance is recommended to help explain some parts of the book. |
