The history and struggles of minoritized communities in the Philippines especially in Mindanao have been dotted by the repression of their fundamental rights to peace, legitimate politic exercise and civil liberties. The work of codifying the strategies and documenting community experiences embedded in this Handbook as a reference for the present and next generations of peacebuilders and civil society advocates to understand and perhaps learn from is no easy task. For these have to be extracted methodically from decades of ardent campaign and advocacy work in the pursuit of sustainable peace, inclusive development and social justice for the Bangsamoro (from the introduction).
