The data generated by this study will be useful assessing the level of awareness, knowledge and attitudes of women regarding political and economic processes, their capacities and skills and readiness to engage in governance and economic activities, and the factors that help or impede in developing their leadership potential both in business other economic activities. The survey was complemented by extensive interviews with the women respondents in their communities, which invariably revealed how traditional roles in reproductive and care work can weigh in on possibilities and opportunities for women in general and on potential women leaders in particular.
